[dropcap]I[/dropcap]ndianapolis is the Crossroads of America, and this is no more true than in music. With its music venues from the large, The Vogue Theater to the small, Melody Inn, venues exist from Zionsville, Broad Ripple, Downtown Indianapolis, Fountain Square and many places in-between. For this selection of photographs I am focused on the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis’ near south side. This has become, by far, my favorite neighborhood in the city these past few years. Here, mainstays such as Radio Radio and Fountain Square Theater, and newer venues like White Rabbit Cabaret and The Hi-Fi make it what you want in a destination. These venues, and the addition of New Day Craft Meadery and Fountain Square Brewery, not to mention the smaller bars and other great restaurants, make Fountain Square a place you can be from after work until the early morning hours. Like any destination, you want the photo op, and for me it is under the lights of the Fountain Square Marquee. It is conveniently located in close proximity to all of the before-mentioned venues, and the bands are happy to get a non-performance photo. You know the blurry, village of the damned eyes, and McDonalds’ red light fries warmer picture. I hope you enjoy this set up pictures and I encourage you to support local acts and local venue [divider style="solid" top="20" bottom="20"]
